Archangel Farm is a small breeding/competing facility by choice, located in Western New York. We offer only a few exceptional foals each year at very affordable prices.

Our philosophy is very simple: Quality and ethical breeding.

Archangel Farm is breeding for the modern sport, lighter "forward moving" Friesians and Friesian crosses. This breed is excelling in dressage with movement, desire to please, sound minds and bodies, and athleticism which has talent desired by the professional and temperament for the amateur.

Our Friesians were imported from the Netherlands and carefully selected for their Sporthorse type and forward moving dressage style movement and impressive sport bloodlines that include stamina. Many of the heavier "Baroque" style Friesians do not have the sport stamina required.

The Friesian sporthorse is suited for many disciplines. They are quickly gaining in popularity for their outstanding temperaments, intelligence, wonderful minds/trainability and willingness to please. The Friesian breed improves dramatically on all breeds they are crossed with great bone and foot, soundness, powerful hind ends, movement, beauty and elegance with a lot of mane , tail and feathers!
Quality crossbreeding can only improve each breed..... hybrid vigor.

Our passion is to breed for the quality Friesian Sporthorse of Color.

The most rare of the Friesian crosses are the Black and White Pinto Friesian Dutch Warmblood. They have been bred in the Netherlands and Germany for many years, but there are only a handful here in the United States. Sadly, many of their bloodlines/papers were lost or not recorded.

We pride ourselves in researching and choosing the best quality Pinto Dutch Warmblood bloodlines/pedigrees, crossed with the best of Friesians...... that have papers, recorded bloodlines and are registered.

Our Friesians of Color are from purebred Pinto Dutch Warmblood's to get their Black and White "Pinto" color. Their bloodlines include the only KWPN Approved Pinto Stallion of the famous Samber, and the most sought after old  performance lines of the "Utopia" KWPN mare lines of the Netherlands.

Sake Stallion Video:

Video.......taken last year when not quite 2 yrs. old yet...still in his awkward/growing stage for such a big boy, but you can see his exceptional movement and agility. And, YES ! Friesians can jump!! It was sunset and the reflection took away his true blue/black color, but you can see it in his other photos and video on his stallion page.
